If you are fortunate enough to own a second home in the UK which you enjoy during holidays or weekends, don’t forget to make sure the property is sufficiently insured when it is left unoccupied.

Sitting unoccupied for long periods of time, holiday homes are often targeted by would be thieves who find them an easy target. It is therefore advisable to invest in a good alarm system on the property and where possible, arrange for a neighbour to keep an eye on the property when vacant.
