Modified vehicles are considered a higher risk due to their susceptibility to getting stolen, their higher value and in some cases the increased performance of the car.  For this reason, premiums are generally higher the more modifications there are.

It’s worth reiterating that all modifications must be declared to your insurers otherwise in the event of an accident, your policy could be rendered invalid.
